KEMBA CENTER is based in Warsaw, NC. We strive to serve the communities of our forty-six constituent churches through spiritual empowerment, education, and service to the holistic man to build family and the Kingdom of God.
It is with profound earthly sorrow that the Kenansville Eastern Missionary Baptist Association announces the passing of the beloved Reverend Sampson Lemon. He was the Former Moderator of our Association and the pastor of Mount Herman Missionary Baptist Church, Wilmington, NC. Arrangements are incomplete at this time. Pleased keep Mother Lemon, the immediate family, church family and the Association in prayer. Please be respectful to the privacy of the family and honor their visitation schedules.

Grace and peace from God our Father…
I pray that you are found in the peace of God and in His perfect will.
Praise God for the second full month of Spring. This month continues the countdown to Pentecost Event of the church, the compilation of fifty days from the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ. Acts 2 gives the details of the fulfilled command of Acts 1:8 where the disciples were challenged to return to the Upper Room in Jerusalem, pray and wait for the power to be witnesses for Christ. Yes, the promise of the filling of the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost or Spirit was not a timed event for the disciples, but it was the beginning of what is required for the completion of salvation for all believers. As a Christian-confessing church, the outpouring of the Holy Spirit should be taught and manifested in action. For it is with this outpouring that the prophecy of Joel 2:28 is fulfilled..."that in the Last Days God will pour out His Spirit upon all flesh, and your sons & daughters shall prophecy, young men see visions and old men dream dreams. The question is, have you received this power since you believed.
Finally we stop to say Happy Mother's Day to all the Mothers of the KEMBA family. Thank you for being the portal of life to all of us that celebrate you. A mother is one that will nurture and foster the care for her children, the Gift of God. Please give your best presentation of LOVE with your care, gifts, meal preps, and quality time spent with mom.
Exodus 1 tells of two Mid-wives that had no children. They were tasked to destroy the newborn males by Pharoah's command, but they used their fear to conquer fear. The fear of God over the fear of death from man; because of their strength to defy a king, God blessed them to become mothers themselves. Motherhood the Gift of God.
Be Blessed and continue to pray for Kemba Leadership.
Rev. Dr. Michael McDougald, Moderator
The future desires for many of the long-living membership was to build a main worship sanctuary as their contribution to the association. In looking to fulfil that vision we as an association must build a constant financial portfolio of stabilized flow of income for a 3–5-year period.
We are asking as many churches as possible or members to commit to either $100 monthly or $1.00 daily, thus Campaign 1200 0r 365. Make checks payable to KEMBA and note in memo line the destination. Thank You
The move to Joint Usher sessions at the KEMBA Center was a vision and guidance given through much prayer and supplication. On the 5th Sunday our great association is divided in three ways, a Northern session, Southern session, and churches that have 5th Sunday worship. This move will unify our association to only a two-way divide. Ultimately i would love to see the session convene on the 5th weekend Friday or Saturday session, thus freeing each church to set their worship as it sees fit for the 5th Sunday.
