KEMBA CENTER is based in Warsaw, NC. We strive to serve the communities of our forty-six constituent churches through spiritual empowerment, education, and service to the holistic man to build family and the Kingdom of God.
First Missionary Baptist Church and Dr. Cornolius Moore sadly announce the transition of the beloved First Lady of the church, Mother Carolyn Moore. Dr. Moore blesses God for 55 years of faithful commitment of marriage. Though saddened by her departure, the Moore Family does not grieve as those who have no hope. Continue to lift the Moore & First Baptist Church family in prayer. Announcements are forthcoming.
Our purpose is to equip the community with the necessary training that leaves them empowered for survival in the present digital age we live. KEMBA with collaborative partnership with Shackle Free Ministries will continue to erase the absence of digital knowledge. .
This nonprofit organization is chaired by the remarkable Chiquitta Lesene, is an organization that seeks to serve the community with a holistic approach to every life they encounter. She came to me with a vision of divine partnership, and as I listened her vision aligned with what God had given me for KEMBA, a beacon for church, community, and the individual.
Many of our churches in the association have vacant pulpits, some by transition from labor to reward, some by pastor resignation, and some by joint decisions to terminate leadership. Regardless of the reason, there should be a uniformed and clear process to accomplish the filling of the vacant pulpit.
During this joint training, the participant will be presented with the necessary processes that will fit the needs on your congregation regardless of the membership size.
Handouts will be available.

Grace and peace from God our Father…
I pray that you are found in the peace of God and in His perfect will.
Praise God for the great summer we have had thus far. It has been tremendously hot this summer, but God has had us in a good balance of rain and heat. Many have suffered in historic flooding, but God has kept our area from these catastrophic occurrences.
As we trek closer to our annual session 2025, we send out a plea that all churches will meet or bring their required assessments current. The ministry takes funding to carry out the work of the Kingdom ministry. Tithing is a mandate for the believer, but I like to guide ministries to also tithe on the tithes received with the same tithe (10%) concept.
This country is in crisis. Poor leadership, strained race relations, defunded family programs, judicial unrest, obfuscation of the Constitution, and a country that would rather believe a lie than the truth, the church needs to take its appointed place and lead this country back to God. Prayer still changes things, and change is what we need. Alligator Alcatraz is open for the ungodly treatment of some innocent immigrants housed there. The scriptures call for the humane and fair treatment of strangers and foreigners. Can we come together and pray for God to move on this country, but more so for the people to hear and obey God?
Be Blessed and continue to pray for Kemba Leadership.
Rev. Dr. Michael McDougald, Moderator
The future desires for many of the long-living membership was to build a main worship sanctuary as their contribution to the association. In looking to fulfil that vision we as an association must build a constant financial portfolio of stabilized flow of income for a 3–5-year period.
We are asking as many churches as possible or members to commit to either $100 monthly or $1.00 daily, thus Campaign 1200 0r 365. Make checks payable to KEMBA and note in memo line the destination. Thank You
The move to Joint Usher sessions at the KEMBA Center was a vision and guidance given through much prayer and supplication. On the 5th Sunday our great association is divided in three ways, a Northern session, Southern session, and churches that have 5th Sunday worship. This move will unify our association to only a two-way divide. Ultimately i would love to see the session convene on the 5th weekend Friday or Saturday session, thus freeing each church to set their worship as it sees fit for the 5th Sunday.
