Empowering Faith and Community

Supporting spiritual growth and service in Duplin, Sampson, Pender, & New Hanover County.
KEMBA CENTER is based in Warsaw, NC. We strive to serve the communities of our forty-six constituent churches through spiritual empowerment, education, and service to the holistic man to build family and the Kingdom of God.
Many of our churches in the association have vacant pulpits, some by transition from labor to reward, some by pastor resignation, and some by joint decisions to terminate leadership. Regardless of the reason, there should be a uniformed and clear process to accomplish the filling of the vacant pulpit.
During this joint training, the participant will be presented with the necessary processes that will fit the needs on your congregation regardless of the membership size.
Handouts will be available.

Grace and peace from God our Father…
I pray that you are found in the peace of God and in His perfect will.
Praise God for the beginning of the summer of 2025. This month of June leads out with the continued prayers for all the bereaved families that have laid loved ones to rest this year. The completion of a funeral service is by no means an end to the mourning period, but actually the beginning. Kubler-Ross stages of grief are real. Denial that the event even happened, bargaining with God to prevent the event from happening, anger with God for allowing the event, depression or withdrawal from realities of life and finally acceptance of what has happened. One may not visit every stage but typically all will visit multiple stages.
We celebrate all the graduates of the Class of 2025. You guys did the amazing by completing the requirements mandated by the accrediting educational institutions. We celebrate the kindergarten, first grade, elementary, middle, high school, early college, undergraduates and graduate students, with the help of God you did the thing. Now go forth and seize the next level as the sky has no limitations for any dream as long as you put God first.
This month we celebrate Father's Day 2025, sorry guys the Hallmark section is not as plenteous as it was during the month of May for Mother's Day. We celebrate you father, dad, daddy, papa, paw paw, and gramps whatever you are called as long as we are the epitome of the Father in Heaven having love, compassion, gentleness, and a spirit of perfected provisioning. Be the best you can be. Be all that God has called you to be.
This month also has a fifth weekend so we will have a special joint session of training, how to fill a vacant pulpit, this will be a power packed session of training to aid those churches in the process, facing the process or planning for the process. It will be facilitated by the Moderator McDougald and open for all desiring to attend.
Be Blessed and continue to pray for Kemba Leadership.
Rev. Dr. Michael McDougald, Moderator
The future desires for many of the long-living membership was to build a main worship sanctuary as their contribution to the association. In looking to fulfil that vision we as an association must build a constant financial portfolio of stabilized flow of income for a 3–5-year period.
We are asking as many churches as possible or members to commit to either $100 monthly or $1.00 daily, thus Campaign 1200 0r 365. Make checks payable to KEMBA and note in memo line the destination. Thank You
The move to Joint Usher sessions at the KEMBA Center was a vision and guidance given through much prayer and supplication. On the 5th Sunday our great association is divided in three ways, a Northern session, Southern session, and churches that have 5th Sunday worship. This move will unify our association to only a two-way divide. Ultimately i would love to see the session convene on the 5th weekend Friday or Saturday session, thus freeing each church to set their worship as it sees fit for the 5th Sunday.
Ordination is the act of conferring holy ordinances upon the minister. Hands are laid upon an eligible candidate as they are elevated in ministry to perform sacerdotal duties i.e. baptism, administer Sacrament, perform weddings.

The classes for the ordination will be a combination of in-person classes held at the KEMBA center and virtual as the instructor mandates.
The cost of the ordination academy from start to finish is $150.00 per enrolled candidate...payable to KEMBA.
