Grace and peace from God our Father…
I pray that you are found in the peace of God and in His perfect will.
I wanted to reach out as we enter the Spring session of the year and soon in the Lenten season, which is the precursor for the pinnacle of the Christian faith > Easter. The Association is doing well but always remains with opportunities for improvement and advancement in the work of the Lord. We are far from perfect, but we strive for perfection in a spirit of excellence. Your continued support in prayer, finances, and attendance is still needed. We cannot allow political decisions and things present to vacate the assembly of the saints in worship.
This year we want to strive for more unity from all our churches and leadership. We are better and stronger together. The Bible gives an example of the power of unity with the Tower of Babel, the people had one mind and one purpose that generated so much strength that God had to tame that unity and harness it for future use. Coming together is not a detriment to the Kingdom of God, but division is. Let’s work for the greater good of unity and building the sustainability of this Association.
The website is up and active > www.kembacenter.com. Here you will see a glimpse of the work going on at KEMBA, announcements, ministry opportunities, and open dialogue for making this association unified and better as we serve this present age and prepare for those that will succeed us. The original Facebook page, Kemba Center, was compromised, thus if you send or accept friend requests from the new page KEMBA Association, you will access the social media platform of announcements. Please update your mailing address and email address using the contact us link at the bottom of the page.
Again remain blessed and check for daily updates to the webpage for announcements and opportunities of worship, fellowship, and Kingdom Building. Reach out to me directly if there is a need or concern, as your Moderator, I am here to serve…God Bless & keep you.
Rev. Dr. Michael McDougald, Moderator
The future desires for many of the long-living membership was to build a main worship sanctuary as their contribution to the association. In looking to fulfil that vision we as an association must build a constant financial portfolio of stabilized flow of income for a 3–5-year period.
We are asking as many churches as possible or members to commit to either $100 monthly or $1.00 daily, thus Campaign 1200 0r 365. Make checks payable to KEMBA and note in memo line the destination. Thank You
The move to Joint Usher sessions at the KEMBA Center was a vision and guidance given through much prayer and supplication. On the 5th Sunday our great association is divided in three ways, a Northern session, Southern session, and churches that have 5th Sunday worship. This move will unify our association to only a two-way divide. Ultimately i would love to see the session convene on the 5th weekend Friday or Saturday session, thus freeing each church to set their worship as it sees fit for the 5th Sunday.
Ordination is the act of conferring holy ordinances upon the minister. Hands are laid upon an eligible candidate as they are elevated in ministry to perform sacerdotal duties i.e. baptism, administer Sacrament, perform weddings.
A licensed to preach minister of a constituent church of KEMBA; receives a written letter of approval from the pastor of their church; and one who successfully completes the required study, testing, and presentations outlined by the instructor.
The classes for the ordination will be a combination of in-person classes held at the KEMBA center and virtual as the instructor mandates.
The cost of the ordination academy from start to finish is $150.00 per enrolled candidate...payable to KEMBA.
The Lead Instructor/chair is Dr. Gregory Hardy, pastor of First Missionary Baptist Church of Magnolia, experienced Assistant Professor, and a member of KEMBA Executive Board.
